While the vast majority of Gibson ES-295s were made with a gold finish, a very small number were done in sunburst.  This is one of those rare examples.  While the hardware and electronics have been replaced, the guitar plays wonderfully and would make a great restoration piece if one would like to bring it back to originality. The pickguard and its hardware are new, reproduction parts. The pickups are Lollar P90s that do a great job of capturing classic, vintage P90 tone.

As noted before, the guitar plays great and the replacement electronics also capture the classic vintage Gibson P90 sound.  It is a great player's instrument with smooth action.  The full C-shaped neck is very comfortable in the hand, having a classic 1950s carve that is larger, but not too large.

The guitar shows signs of playwear with some slightly flattened spots on the frets that do not affect playability or intonation.  There is some finish loss on the back as shown in the photos.
