This Nashville built ES-335 shows an odd mix of regular Dot features and ‘59 Reissue features. At first glance it looks very much like a ‘59 RI with the long pickguard, amber switch tip, etc., but it has factory Grover Rotomatic tuners, a ‘60 neck carve, and the center block does not appear to be spruce.
Otherwise, this guitar has the great level of quality that was coming out of Nashville in the 1990s. The playability is superb with a straight neck and low action. The frets show very little wear. I would rate them at about 90% if their life left. The tone is classic ES-335 with the original 57 Classic humbuckers.
The dark, translucent cherry finish highlights the gorgeous flame top and back of the guitar. The finish is glossy, but shows many small dents from use. There is no significant buckle rash. The ABR-1 bridge appears to have had a repair around the post hole. It looks to have been professionally done and is very solid
The original hard shell case is in excellent structural condition with some external wear and artwork added by a prior owner. The locking latch is broken, but all other latches work perfectly
This guitar has been thoroughly inspected and found to be in excellent playing condition, needing nothing more than a fresh setup.
