This very short-lived thinline archtop was made in the Fujigen factory for Ibanez. It will be a great fit for someone who finds that they prefer an electric archtop with a somewhat smaller body (15 5/8" lower bout) and a thinline (2.2 inches at rim), fully hollow build. The Super 58 pickups deliver great, strongly PAF-based versatility.
The guitar is in near mint condition and displays the superb fit and finish that Japanese made Ibanez guitars are known for. The frets show only very light wear with greater than 90% of their life left. The neck is beautifully straight with nice, fast action.
I've noticed that some sources online claim that these have spruce tops, but the Ibanez price list from 1998 clearly shows that the guitar's body is an all maple build. The neck is three-ply mahogany and maple, and the fretboard is Indian rosewood.
Weight - 6.3 pounds
Nut width - 1.68 inches
1st fret depth - 0.82 inches
10th fret depth - 0.91 inches
I had added a nicely fitting hardshell case the guitar will ship in. It is designed for a full depth guitar, so it will come with some added padding between the case and the back of the guitar.
