This Trenier Broadway was made by Bryant Trenier specifically to commemorate his 50th build, note the special inlay on the headstock.  This example carries on the tradition of a classic 1920s/1930s parallel-braced archtop guitar.  The spruce top is very lively and the guitar has a nice punch while also having the great tone Bryant is known for achieving.  The back is made of ridiculously heavily flamed maple, and the neck is 3-piece flamed maple with a medium C carve.  This guitar was previously sold by us, and came back in trade toward an electric Gibson L-5.  The last owner had Bryant Trenier make an additional pickguard for it as he wanted to play it acoustically only.  It currently has this newer pickguard on it.  The original pickguard with the floating Johnny Smith style pickup shown in some of the pictures is also included and it could easily be reinstalled.

The playability is unquestionably great with smooth action and clear ringing notes all over the neck.  This guitar could perform equally well backing a band, backing a vocalist, or for solo or duet work.  Bryant is one of the exceptional builders of our time, particulary at tuning the woods of a guitar to excel.

The guitar comes with a floating Johnny Smith style pickup.  I believe its a Lollar, but I have not pulled the pickguard off to verify.
