The Eastman AR-605 CC  model doesn't come available very often, but we are happy to make this great playing example available.  The AR-605 CC is the same acoustic build as other AR-605 archtops and is outfitted at the factory with a specially made floating Charlie Christian style pickup with a uniquely shaped blade that does an amazing job at maintaining level output across the strings when using bronze strings. It also has an endpin jack, much like the original ES-150 played by Charlie Christian did.

This guitar plays beautifully, with a comfortable C-shaped neck.  The frets show some wear with approximately 70-80% of their life left.  As is, it plays smoothly with low, fast action.  All notes ring out clearly all over the neck.  Acoustically the guitar is very good with balanced tone.  The acoustic headroom is somewhat limited, but that probably actually makes it a better electric guitar with less feedback problems.  And as an electric guitar is where it really shines.  The pickup design is excellent.  The tone comes as close to approximating the sound of a real, cobalt magnet Charlie Christian pickup as any floating pickup I've tried.

The guitar is in very good cosmetic condition with light finish scratches and a small dent in the top wood, near the binding, as shown in the closeup photo.
