Built with the jazz player who wants a nylon string guitar in mind, the Slaman Dome is made with an arched top and flat back with a floating bridge and trapeze tailpiece like a traditional archtop.  This particular example has a solid spruce top with solid, flamed maple back and sides. The neck appears to be Spanish cedar, but I'm not 100% sure about that.  The fingerboard appears to be Indian rosewood.  The combination of features of this guitar make for a really interesting option for fingerstyle players in particular.

The guitar comes with the RMC acoustic pickup system which uses an individual sensor for each string. This has a 13-pin, MIDI capable output and comes with the RMC Poly-Drive preamp which has an analog 1/4" output as well as a DIN-13 output which allows for full MIDI synth capabilities.

The guitar plays beautifully.  The sound is somewhere between a classical guitar and a traditional archtop.  It isn't as loud as either,  but is more than capable as an acoustic instrument (see the video made by Daniel Slaman here).  The addtion of the pickup system makes it an amazingly versatile instrument.

The guitar also comes with the original strap buttons and the strap mounts for the locking strap mounts.  The included highly padded gig bag fits the guitar beautifully.
