This ESP E-II Mystique is a fairly hard to find model. This is a hardtail guitar with a super-strat type body shape, but a Les Paul like construction. It has a thick carved, heavily quilted maple top over a mahogany body and a set mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard. These E-II models were made in the same factory by the same luthiers as the high end ESP guitars, and the quality shows.
This one is in good playable, all original condition. There is scrape along one back corner near the output jack and some minor finish cracks on the back, as show in the pics. The neck is straight and the frets are level. Two frets show some very light dents that don't really affect playability. They could easily be filed smooth if the new owner wanted. The pickup selector switch feels a bit wiggly (the switch itself, not the nut that holds it in place), but it still works fine.
It comes with a non-original hardshell case.

ESP's Mystique body style: elegance, comfort, and performance
When you want a great-looking guitar that can rock with the best of them, you can count on ESP's Mystique body style for exceptional sustain and tone-packed performance. Set-neck construction gives the E-II Mystique QM/NT Marbl impressive sustain while enhancing articulation and clarity. And the 25.5" scale length is perfect for high-gain tones and down-tuned playing, giving you a powerful foundation for today's modern rock. Sweetwater knows that performance and looks are both important to you, and take it from us - the ESP E-II Mystique QM/NT Marbl scores off-the-charts in both categories.
In the neck position: Seymour Duncan's APH-1
ESP outfitted the E-II Mystique QM/NT Marbl with a Seymour Duncan APH-1 humbucker in the neck position. With its Alnico 2 magnet and moderate windings, this pickup has found a home in the axes of guitarists such as Slash (Guns 'N Roses and Velvet Revolver) and Queensryche's Michael Wilton. Perfect for any genre from jazz to blues to classic rock - and anything in between, the APH-1 is characterized by a warm sound and moderate output.
At the bridge: the venerable JB Model SH-4
The JB Model SH-4 is one of Duncan's - and the world's - most popular pickups and provides the classic sound of a hot-rodded humbucker that we've all loved for the last 30 years. Boasting plenty of output without sacrificing tone and adding the right amount of harmonics, sustain, and distortion, the JB Model SH-4 is great for anything from heavy blues to heavy metal - with an emphasis on heavy! But excelling at aggressive music isn't all the SH-4 can do, as it cleans up nicely, providing warm, sweet tones.
