This Gibson SG Special is a Custom Shop prototype of a 1961 Reissue.  Check out the serial number of SGSPW.
 
The guitar plays beautifully with low, fast action.  All notes ring out clearly at all frets.  The P90 pickups have the full, lush clean tone as one would expect.  Also as expected, they sound amazing overdriven/distorted.  I personally love P90s through high gain amps.  I tested this one through an ENGL Invader and a Friedman BE-100 Deluxe on the HBE channel, and it sounded incredible through both.
 
The finish shows a few very minor defects, but all in all is in near mint condition.  The back of the headstock is stamped "MOD".  The MOD designation appears to be due to the metal surrounds on the pickups, the Gibson factory custom shop pickguard shape, and the build with no neck tenon cover.
