This Loar LH-700 is in new condition and will come in original Loar packaging, but is being sold as mint, simply because it is an open box item. This one is particularly lively with the great punchy mid-range of a classic solid, carved archtop.
This guitar plays fantastically out of the box with only slight adjustments to the bridge set up, but I'm pretty sure that it can be even better with just a slight truss rod adjustment, which I would be happy to do if requested.
If you aren't familiar with The Loar acoustic archtops, the LH-700 is made of all solid woods with fully carved spruce tops and maple backs with solid maple sides. They are essentially based on the early Lloyd Loar designed original Gibson L-5 from the 1920s. I have experience with the early Gibson archtops, and it is truly amazing how close The Loar comes to nailing the experience of playing a 16 inch early Gibson archtop. At this price point, they are basically unbeatable.
